Why Hire An Independent College Counselor?
The college application process has become more confusing than ever. School counselors are a major component in the process, but with budget cuts causing overwhelming caseloads, many guidance counselors do not have the time to give one on one assistance to students. Independent College Counselors have the ability to develop an individualized plan, brainstorm and proof essays, and to provide understanding and information to both families and students. Independents are also able to attend professional development conferences in order to stay up to date on all things related to college admissions. It’s important to note that Independent College Counselors cannot guarantee admission to any one college and we do not have any special pull in admissions offices. It is unethical for us to write essays for your student, but we do our best to help make your student’s application the best it can be. If you are still unsure whether you should hire an Independent College Counselor, please visit my Testimonials page to learn how I have helped others.

"Lexi was instrumental in defining colleges that would be a good fit for my daughter. She put in a lot of time and effort meeting with both Lena [my daughter] and I over the course of several months. I can't recommend a more interested, knowledgeable and passionate College Counselor!"
